How CouchConnect works
Airbnb is for vacations. CouchConnect is for passing through โ a couch, futon, or spare room for one to three nights, hosted by a real local.
For travelers
Find a couch
Search by city and dates. Every listing is a real person's home, priced like a tank of gas โ most run $15โ$45 a night.
Book & pay by card
Pay securely through Stripe at booking. Your total is the nightly price plus a 12% service fee. Never pay a host in cash.
Crash, then keep moving
Stays cap at 3 nights. Your host gets arrival details to you by email after booking.
For hosts
List anything sleepable
A couch counts. A futon counts. A proper guest room is a bonus. You set the nightly price.
Verify once with Stripe
A one-time identity and bank setup through Stripe's secure onboarding. We never see your bank details.
Get paid automatically
Guests pay up front; your full nightly earnings transfer to your bank. The guest's service fee is how we keep the lights on โ we don't touch your rate.
The fine print, briefly
- 1โ3 nights, always. The cap keeps hosting light and guests moving โ this isn't subletting.
- Money flows through Stripe. Guests pay CouchConnect; hosts are paid out via Stripe Connect after the card payment clears.
- Simple fees. Guests pay a 12% service fee. Hosts keep 100% of their nightly rate.
